CCE were appointed to provide our Structural and Civil Engineering Consultancy Services on the new Multi-Storey Carpark at Burton Hospital, which opened in March 2022.
The new car park is part of the Trust’s wider strategy to transform and upgrade the main site, and to improve the experience for visitors and patients alike. Used exclusively by staff of the Hospital, the car park which is set over four-storeys; houses 499 parking spaces, including those located behind the on-site Nursery, and is also equipped with over 10 designated electrical charging spaces and four motorcycle bays.
Constructed with a steel frame and concrete planks, the car park also benefits from a lift, enhanced lighting, and modern CCTV cameras. With the new development now live, this has allowed Car Park 5 at the hospital, used previously by staff and patients, to be converted solely for patient use, therefore improving on-site parking for visiting communities.
