As part of the ongoing Framework Agreement secured with Aston University, CCE were commissioned to undertake the Structural and Civil design, to replace the outdated and inflexible 1970’s facility currently in use.
Following a lengthy design and consultation process a new build 2-storey building was chosen to be located at the heart of the residential campus area.
The new building is very distinctive with a steeply pitched roof, covered in zinc cladding to create a statement building, which offers flexible spaces for different student activities and uses, and provides accommodation for all the support services that a modern Student Union needs.
